Dawn M. Ogrodny
Family Law Attorney
Colorado Springs has been my home since I was eight years old. I completed my undergraduate studies at Colorado College. I received my law degree in 2000 from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington, before it was the basketball powerhouse it is today. And yes, I love basketball. I also love dogs. I own four dogs, and I foster puppies for a local rescue. The one I'm holding in the photo is a foster pup.

In 2005, I was an associate attorney for the Dianna L. Harris, P.C. law firm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Working with Ms. Harris provided me with an excellent foundation for practicing family law, and she remains my mentor to this day. I started my family law practice in 2007.

My life experience led me to become a family law attorney. I grew up in a "broken home" (a term I hate, by the way) with my mother, and contact with my father was cut off due to the high-conflict divorce. I have a healthy relationship with both my parents, but it has taken years to get there. My experience motivates me to show my clients that their children love them no matter what and that they deserve to have relationships with both parents.

Divorce is a traumatic experience for all involved, but it does not have to be if we look at divorce as restructuring the family unit rather than breaking it. There is no requirement to hate the other parent because there are great parents who happen to be less-than-great spouses. At the end of the day, no one regrets getting a divorce, and I want to help people get through it with dignity.
Jessica Ade
Family Law Legal Assistant
I have lived in Colorado Springs since I was two years old. I began working as Dawn Ogrodny's legal assistant shortly after graduating high school. We have a great relationship and have been a successful team since 2014.

I am a child of a highly dysfunctional and high-conflict divorce in El Paso County, Colorado. Therefore, I am very zealous about helping families through family law matters as peacefully as possible. I enjoy working as a family law legal assistant, working with Dawn Ogrodny, and helping other families navigate difficult situations.
Lets just say we wouldn't be where we are now if it wasn't for Dawn & Jessica. These two ladies are AMAZING! Dawn doesn't sugar coat anything, she's honest and lets you know what's right and wrong and that's exactly what I needed. She let me know we might not win my case but we are going to fight as hard as we can, and they did just that. Communication was 100%, from emails to calls they were always there.

Dawn and Jessica are very professional and down to earth people. They were always polite and cordial. Any time I needed anything they were there. Dawn provided the best answers when it came to the law. If I could provide Dawn and her team higher than a 5 star rating I would!

Dawn and Jessica worked with me through one of the toughest times in my life. I love Dawn's approach. She is realistic and won't tell you everything will be perfect and go your way. She lets you know what she is able to accomplish and sets out a detailed plan. I felt prepared for the compromises, yet completely secure in the idea that she would fight for what was ultimately right for my kids and me.
